Villa Landscapes welcomes two new landscape designers—Peter Friend and Lonny Sekeres—to our staff.
PETER FRIEND
Peter Friend joined Villa Landscapes after running his own Twin Cities landscaping business for 12 years. Following his attendance at Hennepin Technical College’s Landscape Design & Horticulture program, Peter assembled and managed crews that designed and installed the full range of landscaping features, from retaining walls and patios to lighting, irrigation and pergolas.
“I really enjoy working with natural elements, particularly stone, in combination with engineered retaining wall and paver products,” says Peter. “I’ve also worked on a lot of jobs renewing the look of older homes through creative landscaping, particularly with front entryways. I see every project as an opportunity to enhance the homeowner's outdoor experience”
No matter what size the job, from a simple patio or walkway to a complete yard makeover, Peter always keeps the customer involved during the design process and ensures that the completed project meets the customer's wants and needs.
LONNY SEKERES
Lonny Sekeres brings to Villa Landscapes a wide range of landscape design skills. He’s a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Environmental Design
and minor in horticultural design. Lonny formerly managed the residential landscape division of a Twin Cities landscape and garden center, where he honed his design skills and developed a passion for working with homeowners.
Lonny knows the landscaping process from conception to design and through installation and completion, and he treats each project as if it were his own. He specializes in low-maintenance residential landscaping and particularly enjoys adding curb appeal to clients’ homes through front-entry makeovers. Lonny uses a variety of design software to turn his clients’ dreams into reality and offer them options in hardscapes and plantings.
